- Traditionally the Guild has organized a Holiday Potluck on the first Thursday of December. With the current public health emergency, an in-person gathering will not be possible, but we will be organizing a Guild virtual Show ‘n’ Tell for this evening. This will be a great me to connect with other Guild members before the rush of the holiday preparations. Remember, only Guild members will get the Zoom invitation, so you can even safely display those hand-crafted creations that you will be giving to family and friends! For the Show ‘n’ Tell we will be using the Share Screen function of Zoom. This means you take a photo and load it to the screen of your computer or iPad, and when it is your turn to present, you can click an icon and presto! Everyone can now see your monitor screen! If you have never attempted this before, please send a note to zoom@vhwsg.ca for assistance.
- Depending upon interest, we may also create Zoom “Break-Out Rooms” revolving around special topics. How do “breakout rooms” work? These are smaller virtual meetings that occur within the larger one. They will likely be limited to six participants to facilitate conversation. If you have an idea of a topic, please send that to programs@vhwsg.ca .
