During this workshop, Kim analyzes and tweaks your signature/default spinning technique before delving into the world of the Forward Worsted Draft Twist. More than an “inch worm” technique, this twist method results in strong, lustrous yarns with incredible drape. With simple adjustments to your spinning technique, Kim will teach you how to:

  •  Spin a yarn with more or less loft
  •  Control your yarn’s grist/thickness and
  •  Create a softer or harder yarn
After this workshop, you will realize the value of adding this skill to your spinning arsenal. Materials for a two- day workshop include wool from four very different sheep breeds.
