10:00 am: Coast Salish Weaving - workshop10:00 am: Coast Salish Weaving - workshop – In this 6-hour session, participants will learn about the history and traditions of Coast Salish weaving, techniques, and Janice and Buddy’s personal and family weaving stories. Participants will create a weaving of their own to take home at the end of the day. Ages: 14+ $150 per person. Ticket price includes all materials, a light lunch, and admission to the museum. 14 participants maximum. Bring your questions – we will all pitch in to help you answer them. This is an informal time to get to know each other and share our knowledge and interests. This month Heather MacKay will share her needle felting experiences. Come and see her lovely felted items, watch her technique and ask questions. Others who do needle felting are encouraged to bring their own work and experiences to share as well. The Dyers Interest Group will break out at 8 pm to discuss their project planning.
