Victoria Spin In 2018

Mark the date of Saturday 24 February in your calendar, dust off your spinning wheel or spindle and plan to spend the day spinning with us at the Saanich Fairgrounds in the large Main Hall and Dogwood Room! Knitters and other fibre enthusiasts are welcome too.

Doors will open at 9:30 am.
We will have coffee, tea and baking for you. Please bring your own lunch and a mug.

Vendors

We have assembled a great cast of vendors: Knotty by Nature, SpiritSong Fibre Studio, Inca Dinca Do, Tideview Farm and Silverwood Farm (Icelandic roving and fleece), Jill’s Fibres and Fairview Farm (Cotswold fibre).

Equipment Sale

We will be offering an opportunity for those attending Spin In to sell equipment that you are no longer using and wish to pass on. You will be asked to label the equipment with your name, contact information and price. Buyers at the Spin In will negotiate with you directly. You will be responsible for removing unsold items at the end of the day.

Book Sale

The book sale will proceed as last year. Bring any fibre related books you wish to sell. No Magazines. All unsold books must be removed by the seller at the end of the day.

Registration

Registration is $20, payable by cash, cheque (to VHWSG), or Paypal or e-transfer to thornton.sj@gmail.com. If paying electronically, please include your name and town/guild affiliation in the comments. Payment received after registration is full will be refunded. There is currently space available and there will be a registration table at the February guild meeting.

Volunteers:

We could use some more individuals willing to help set up or clean up on the day. A sign up sheet will be passed around the February meeting, but please feel free to volunteer on the day because many hands make the work light! Thanks.
If you are willing to donate baking/snacks for Spin In, please contact spinin@vhwsg.ca
