Guild Members, We Want Your Fibre Arts in the Show!

We want to show through fibre arts how the guild reflects social trends over time; the kinds of fibre arts Guild members made in the past and what Guild members are creating now; how materials and techniques have changed.  With this in mind, members are invited to submit current work to the exhibit. If you wish to submit a piece to the show, please complete the Submission Form, including a photo of your work.

Submissions Guidelines

  • Categories:  Weaving, spinning, basketry, wet and needle felting, and knitting with handspun. If what you do is not on this list, please check with us by contacting Christine Purse.
  • Work must have been completed in the last 10 years.
  • We are looking for a range of work from tea towels to placemats and blankets; clothing to socks to scarves and hats.
  • Due to space considerations, we will accept one submission per member.
  • Work must be clean and in good shape. Please don’t submit your favourite, well worn sweater.
  • Your work may be for sale, but we will direct interested buyers to contact you to complete the sale.

Volunteers Needed

We need volunteers to staff the gallery during the show by welcoming visitors, answering questions and ensuring the safety of the work. You are welcome to bring hand work with you. If you would like to help out during the show, complete the Volunteer Form and we will get back to you.
