The Farm to Fashion Challenge has developed from our desire to connect people with local fibre sources; provide a focus for developing projects to use those fibres; and get people together for fun and to learn about their local fibreshed. This event is open to teams from Vancouver, the Gulf Islands, the Lower Mainland, and the Sunshine Coast – no need to be members of the VHWSG.
The first challenge in 2021 was a “virtual” Sheep to Shawl competition – see the details and finished projects.
The 2022 Farm to Fashion Challenge will run from March 31, 2022 to September 15, 2022 – the projects undertaken by teams may, of course, continue but we will have a review of all of the projects at the September guild meeting.
