Texere 2025 – Entry Information
Entry Criteria
- Texere is only open to guild members. To become a member, please go to the Membership page.
- The entry fee is $25 per artist. In addition, artists will be charged a 10% sales commission by the Guild and the 2.5% credit card fee charged by Square. The 10% sales commission will be used for the facility rental, ArtSea membership, printing and any other costs.
- To enter, please complete the Entry Form. Entry forms and payment should be submitted no later than the June 17 guild meeting. Submissions made at later dates will be accepted if there is space.
- Refunds of the entry fee will be judged on a case-by-case basis. After August 15, the entry fee will be nonrefundable.
- Sale items in any fibre arts medium and any size may be entered. Artists may enter up to 10 items for sale. The first three items listed on the Inventory Form will be placed on show immediately and more items included if space allows. The additional sale items will be used for restocking. Sets of sale items that cannot be sold separately count as one entry, for example 4 placemats or napkins.
- If your work requires specific display support, for example a mannequin/dress form, a head, or a dowel, please include this with your entry if possible.
- There will not be any exhibit items. Members who want to enter items not for sale may place an unreasonably high price on the item.
- Work must be finished, clean, pressed, and free of lint and hair. Frames and mats for framed art should be good quality and undamaged; 3D art must be clean and dust free. If your work has been stored for a length of time, please ensure it is aired.
- All work must be labeled with a Texere hang tag. Personal hang tags may remain on the sale items only if no price is listed on them. If you have unused Texere hang tags from the previous Texere sale, you may use them. Hang tags must be attached securely. Tags must be tied or sewn on; hang tags secured with pins will not be accepted to prevent damage to other pieces. If the tags are lost, the committee will not be responsible for selling the item. Download instructions for completing hang tags here.
- Artists are expected to volunteer in some capacity to help organize and run the sale. Please go to Texere Volunteers on the website to volunteer.
Submission Process
- Complete an Entry Form (see #3 above) and fee by June 17, 2025. Submissions made at later dates will be accepted if there is space.
- You do not need to know exactly which items you wish to sell when you submit your entry form. We just need a general idea to help in planning the sale displays.
- All sale items must be submitted no later than the September 16, 2025 guild meeting.
- Artists must download and fill out an Inventory Form. (Download directions here.) The completed form must accompany the sale items submitted and must include any items for restocking. Please list the sale items on your inventory form in the order in which you want them shown.
- Artists must download and complete an Artist’s Biography, which will be printed and made available to the public. (Download directions here.)
- Sale items with attached Texere hang tags (download instructions for completing hang tags here), including items for restocking, must be packaged in an appropriate-sized box with the member’s name clearly marked on the outside. The Inventory Form and Artist Bio must be included in the box.
Obtaining Forms and Hang Tags
- All forms including Entry Forms, Inventory Forms, and Artist Bio Forms are available on the guild website. There are also directions (Inventory, Artist Bio) to help in completing the forms.
- Hang tags can be purchased for 10 cents each. Download instructions for completing hang tags here. Hang tags will be available for purchase at the May 27 and June 17 guild meetings. You may also send an email to the Texere Committee indicating how many tags you need and we will arrange to get them to you.

- Shawls – $95
- Scarves – $75
- Placemats – $25
- Napkins – $20
- Table runners – $60

- Blankets, lap and baby – $120
- Blankets, large – $150
- *Handspun yarn, 100 m skein – $30
*Handspun yarn generally does not sell well as many potential buyers aren’t sure how to use it. The Texere Committee strongly suggests you consider making a kit with your handspun yarn including enough yarn to complete a project and a free pattern. Please give credit to the designer of the pattern. Please do not use a pattern which you have purchased as the designer will not be paid for their work.
Questions? Please contact the Texere Committee.
If you can lend the guild mannequins, busts, heads or other display equipment, please send an email to the Texere Committee listing the display items you have available.
