December: No regularly scheduled meeting. Instead, please join us for the annual guild Christmas party on Thursday, Dec. 8 at the Gordon Head Lawn Bowling Club.
Bring a potluck item, a serving spoon/fork, and your place setting. We will have the traditional White Elephant gift exchange, which is always lots of fun!
We also will be collecting toiletries to put into Welcome Kits for the Victoria Women’s Transition House Society.
The types of items that go into their basic kit: bar soap, full size shampoo/condition, feminine hygiene products, toothbrushes and toothpaste, hair brushes, combs, full sized lotion, and Kleenex. Optional items could be razors, face cloths, nail files, bath salts, hand wipes, etc.
Or you can help fill a kit for children with kid themed items: no tears shampoo/conditioner, bubble bath, bath toys, yummy flavoured toothpaste and soft toothbrushes. There are lots of ways to package and present these Welcome Kits. Enclosed in a zip lock bag, tucked into a pretty cloth pouch, or all tied up with a bow in a gift bag.
